About
Dino Skansi
I’ve been photographing for more than twenty years, and I still walk through Zagreb looking at the light before I look at anything else. A slice of sun across a doorway. A face half in shadow. That’s usually where the picture is.
My own work is almost all black and white — street scenes, portraits, small details most people walk past. Without colour, you have to pay attention to what’s really there.
For clients I photograph people, products and spaces: portraits, teams, events, things that need to look like themselves. I bring the same habit to every job — wait for the light, then wait a little longer.
Away from the camera I play guitar and fix old electronics. Both teach the same lesson: patience, and listening before you touch anything.
